To achieve this goal, it is enough to place the first phalanges of the fingers slightly higher in relation to the corresponding phalanges of the opponent. You can verify the correctness of such a grip by looking at the bundle from the side. If all four phalanges have a position close to horizontal, it will be possible from the first seconds to effectively press on the opponent's hand, developing superiority.

The problem is that if you have an experienced judge, it will be difficult to resort to the above technique. After all, such a seizure is prohibited by the rules of armwrestling. In any case, the presented manipulations can be performed a few moments before the start of the fight.

Leg position

It happens like this: you approach the table, realizing that you have to fight with this opponent in a "hook", you take a capture, but then you feel the power of your opponent - and that's it, you are already all in your "crown" "top". And why? Because there is no certainty, there is no tournament practice.

In addition to global starts (championships of a region, country, etc.), an armwrestler should have small competitions where the level of rivals will not be so high, and most importantly, the burden of responsibility for the final result will not press on you.

These competitions should become a training ground for practicing the skills acquired in training in "combat conditions". You must set yourself a task: for example, today you are only fighting in the "hook", or you are working "number two", and clearly follow this installation.

Here your goal is not a final place, but an increase in skill. And the referee, preventing you from taking a comfortable grip, and the competitive jitters act as "additional burden" that will allow you to become even stronger and more experienced. Experience should play into your hands in the literal sense of the word.

The principle of micro-tasks is the basis of success in armwrestling

Usage the principle of microtasks will allow you to achieve another important goal: you must, as a good chess player, learn to correctly and quickly analyze what is happening at the table in order to be able to make correct adjustments to the course of the match.

And in order for these processes to take place at lightning speed in the "combat" mode, all possible combinations must be disassembled and analyzed in training.

A case from one's life: championship in Las Vegas, the first fight between Farid Usmanov and John Brzenk. John is torn, "the wrestlers are tied with a belt, and the American confidently," on top ", puts Farid's hand on the table. Like, here - the opponent's vulnerability has been found! But John is not that person, it is important for him to know that his victory is not an accident, that he is truly the strongest.
